Public dossiers

Knowledge library

Public dossiers with source and review date. Filter by General (all emirates) or one emirate. Not advice for an individual case.

The library is the public layer of AUREL Dubai. Each file has a review date, an emirate scope and, where needed, a primary source. General briefings apply across emirates; emirate-specific pieces sit beside them (for example starting a company in Dubai and in Abu Dhabi).

Premium pieces sit behind membership. The planner uses the same honesty rule as the files: unknown items stay unknown. Experience from the community or from “What to do in” sits apart from the official rule.

Filter by emirate or General first, then by topic. A property file does not solve your visa question; a relocation piece is not a purchase budget.

Source

Legal or tax sentences point to a publisher and a url, or they are explicitly a worked example. “Research starting point” is not a tariff guarantee.

Editorial

Scope

General is UAE-wide. An emirate briefing names local registrars and portals. Dubai rules do not silently apply elsewhere.

Review

A date on the file is the trail. Human review is a separate status. Bulk-approving everything in one click does not exist.

Starting a company in the UAE: choose the emirate first

A UAE company is always tied to one registrar in one emirate or free zone. This general briefing sets out federal frames and how to choose between emirates.

Buying property in the UAE: each emirate has its own registers

There is no single federal UAE home cadastre. You buy through one emirate’s register. This briefing covers the shared questions.

Visa, Emirates ID and Golden Visa in the UAE: federal tracks

Many immigration rules are federal (ICA), but residence is tied to a sponsor or route that is executed at emirate level in practice. This briefing separates those layers.

Renting a home in the UAE: contract rules differ by emirate

Tenant protection, registration portals and utilities are emirate-level. This general briefing covers what to check everywhere before you sign.

Free zone or mainland in the UAE: pick one registrar

Mainland and free zone are registrar choices inside one emirate, not a country choice. This general briefing sets the comparison questions.

Relocating to the UAE: what is federal and what differs by emirate

Moving to “the Emirates” does not exist as one process. You choose one emirate for residence, school and usually your lease — plus federal tracks such as ICA and FTA where they apply.

Building a business network in Dubai: where do you start?

A network in Dubai grows through repeated, useful presence — not through one gala. This briefing gives a starting order: whom to know, how to introduce yourself, and what to leave.

Choosing a trusted advisor in Dubai: how to compare providers

A sound adviser in Dubai shows a licence, a written scope and a conflicts statement. This briefing is a comparison method — not a ranking and not invented expert reviews.

Your first 90 days in Dubai: from arrival to a local network

The first 90 days work as three blocks of thirty: survive, enrol, embed. This briefing is an order, not a promise that everything works.

Dubai Marina, Downtown or Dubai Hills: how do you compare neighbourhoods?

Three well-known Dubai areas deserve the same questions: how you move, who lives there, what it costs to hold, and whether the community fits own use or letting. This briefing teaches comparison without live listings.

Free zone or mainland in Dubai: how do you choose?

Mainland and free zone in Dubai are different registrars, not two prices for the same product. This briefing compares market access, office, visa research and corporate tax — without 0% as a default.

Gross and net yield on Dubai property explained

Gross yield divides rent by price. Net yield subtracts service charges, management, voids and transaction costs. This briefing shows the arithmetic — with labelled assumptions, not a forecast.

A mortgage for Dubai property as a non-resident

Non-residents can explore a Dubai mortgage, but pre-approval is not a grant and LTV is not guaranteed. This briefing sets out documents, costs and the usual traps.

International school fees in Dubai: costs and points to check

School costs in Dubai are read per school year on the KHDA Fee Fact Sheet, not as a city-wide rate. This briefing shows what to compare, with one dated tuition example.

Dubai · Investing

Investing in Dubai: goals, risks and a realistic plan

Investing in Dubai starts with a purpose and an amount you can hold, not with a brochure. This briefing helps you write a plan: horizon, liquidity, counterparties and home-country rules — without buy advice.

What does buying an apartment in Dubai really cost?

In Dubai the asking price is only the first line. Registration, trustee fees, often commission and then service charges follow. This briefing splits the items and labels a worked example.

Dubai · Business

What does it cost to set up a company in Dubai in the first year?

Year one of a Dubai company is a stack of invoices: registrar, office, adviser, compliance and a buffer for what the bank and visa research still ask. This briefing splits the lines.

Opening a business bank account in Dubai: documents and costs

A trade licence is not a bank account. Banks in Dubai decide for themselves, on KYC, activity and UBOs. This briefing lists documents and costs — with no opening guarantee.
